Drumroll Please

Let's go through the signs and symptoms, shall we?

I'm craving sweets...

Baby's heartrate was above 140...

I have some pregnancy-related acne...

I didn't have any morning sickness...

I'm not excessively hairy with this pregnancy...

I am "carrying high" - look like I swallowed a basketball...

SRH has gained weight right along with me...

I took 8 cranberry supplements and chugged Lydia Pinkham's tonic the week before I ovulated...

The needle/wedding ring swung in large circles over my tummy...

And, of course, the drano didn't bubble when I mixed it with my urine...

...It must be a girl!
(and here I thought I needed an ultrasound to confirm the news)

HA! I love all the gender "tests". I had so much fun with those.

Hey, I started gaining a while ago. I am not sure this should be one of the "indicators."

Everyone who has seen me carrying high has said that it means I'm having a boy...although I'm not. I'm so confused!

Congratulations!

Those "tests" crack me up. Although for purposes of full disclosure, I should say that I didn't actually do any of them. Well, I guess I did the ultrasound one, but that wasn't really me doing that one.

Somehow many people had a sense that this one was a girl. Almost everyone except SRH's father, who was quite shocked, I'll tell you.

Tongue in cheek, my love. Your gaining weight just happened to be under "girl" criteria, so I threw it in there.

Everyone knows you've been a Fatty McFatterstein for much longer than this pregnancy. :)

See, I thought "carrying high" meant a boy as well. So far at 5' 2" tall I've "carried high" both times.

Late to the party, but congratulations any way. :) Have to admit, I've never heard of the urine/drano thing. Time to put Google to work (on second thought, maybe not).
